What is the WIND Certified Appraiser Program?
The WIND Certified Appraiser Program® was launched in 2012 to enhance the professionalism and ethics of property insurance appraisers. Each year, hundreds of property insurance claims professionals complete the four-hour WIND Certified Appraiser® program, which is taught annually at the Windstorm Insurance Conference.
Steps to becoming a WIND Certified Appraiser
1. Complete the four-hour WIND Certified Appraiser or WIND Appraiser Re-certification class at WIND 2017. You won’t have to take the class again until 2020.

2. Complete the WIND Appraiser Application. This form is good for three years but must be submitted to WIND by April 1, 2017. Sorry, no late applications can be accepted.
3. Join/renew as a 2017 WIND Member. Click here to renew. You must stay current every year (by April 1) to continue to be listed in our online directory.
4. Complete all necessary steps and send in payment/ forms no later than April 1, 2017.
Enrollment is open Feb. 1 – April 1, 2017. Sorry, no late applications will be accepted. After this date, we will assume you will apply for the following year.
After completion, you will receive a 2017 WIND Certified Appraiser certificate and logo to use in your marketing materials.
