What is a WIND Certified Appraiser?
A WIND Certified Appraiser® is an individual who has successfully completed the four-hour WIND Appraiser Certification class and who has successfully met the guidelines and application steps set forth by WIND to be officially recognized as a WIND Certified Appraiser. These steps include an application process, fee, security background check, and current WIND membership. Once completed, applicants will be listed in the WIND Certified Appraiser Directory.
Steps to Becoming a WIND Certified Appraiser:
The certification period is active for three years from class completion date. For example, if you complete the class in January 2021 your certification period will renew in January 2024.
2. Join/renew as a current WIND Member
3. WIND Certified Appraiser application process begins after the WIND Annual Meeting until March 31st of each year.
4. Submit a security background check (FDLE or equivalent report from the state in which you reside).
5. Complete the WIND Certified Appraiser application and submit payment of $250 for a three year certification period.
To remain current in the WIND Certified Appraiser Directory for the three year certification period, be sure to keep your WIND annual membership current.
Show Off Your WIND Certified Appraiser Status!
Once completed, you will be listed in the WIND Certified Appraiser Directory and receive a WIND Certified Appraiser certificate and logo to use in your marketing materials.
